In my previous post detailing some site and name changes, the screen shots featured an adorable six-month session I did last week. Before I show you those images in full, I have to show off this sweet little boy’s newborn session. I did his newborn pics last August, a few weeks before starting this blog. While a number of images are in my newborn gallery, he never got his own post. So I had to add these in to give a before and after — you’ll be amazed at how much he grew and changed since then!
What I loved most about this session: How personal it was. This is when I became 100% sure I wanted to do in-home, lifestyle portrait sessions. Baby C’s parents had put so much love into his nursery — the painted stripe walls, refurbished furnishings, handmade curtains, his great-grandma’s artwork on the walls… And as a mom, I knew how much time they would spend rocking him in their new chair, standing over the crib looking over him, and eventually watching him pull all the books off the shelves to cover his floor.
If you’re still reading… this boy was quite a surprise, sleeping the whole time! He’d been giving his parents quite a challenge, not wanting to sleep unless he was curled up against one of them. So for you other mamas out there who might be dealing with that — you’re not alone!! And with some warmer clothes and hats, his parents finally convinced him to sleep 🙂
