It’s springtime, and babies are in bloom! Seriously, all of my recent and upcoming sessions are newborns, and I LOVE it. This is making me think of all the Anne Geddes baby photographs from the 90’s… her babies dressed up as little flowers and in garden scenes. Anyone else remember all those cards, books, and calendars that filled stores?? [editor’s note: I’m chalking this random image up to 1) lack of sleep from constantly sick kiddos, and 2) desperately wanting spring and warm weather to actually be here, instead of being 46 degrees on April 17th]
Anyways, I wanted to share one of those recent sessions with you. It’s light and airy, filled with soft pinks and blues, and just has a happy and relaxed feel. Which I totally credit the mama for — she was so prepared, had the most adorable outfits ready for her ‘big’ girls, and was just relaxed and excited to have photographs taken.
Mama’s vibe was absolutely passed down to the big sisters, who rocked the photo session. They were sweet as could be, doting on their little brother. That’s just amazing, because there is so much transition going on! For the eldest, this is the second time a little nugget has swooped in and taken up much of mom and dad’s time and attention… and for the now-middle child, she’s no longer the baby, and that’s massive. And baby boy was as chill as a third child should be — so sweet!!
I know there are ups and downs across the first few months of a new sibling, but in these early weeks, this family was adjusting so beautifully to having this new sweetheart join their clan. Congratulations to this beautiful family of five!
