This amazing woman is “mom” to two kids and runs her own small business — Blossom Collective — that is just flourishing in the DMV. Superstar. After studying marketing and studio arts in college, Nancy completed her Masters in Visual Arts while living in Italy. Yes, I’m incredibly jealous. She worked in hospitality and combined her love for events, the hospitality biz, and arts to dive into a full-time career in flowers. Her work is absolutely gorgeous. If you’re in the DC area, there is a good chance you’ve seen her flower arranging — there’s an incredible woman behind the scenes creating the art that graces tables and mantles at events!
Nancy’s clients had been keeping her so busy, but we carved out some time to do a marketing and branding session for her quickly-growing business. We had a lot of fun chatting through her session, talking about life as moms, small business owners, family managers, wives, DC natives and more. We discussed what the photos would be used for — website use, banners, IG feed, etc… — and what angles she preferred or concepts she had in mind that we would try to execute. That’s what a session like this is all about — getting to know each other and feeling totally comfortable, especially as I’m climbing up on chairs and counters to get the best angles and light. And afterwards she gifted me a beautiful arrangement that sat on my desk afterwards for weeks. So fun!!!
You should absolutely check some of her recent IG posts here, and then the next time you’re having a shower, dinner party, ladies brunch, you name it… book The Blossom Collective.
