I just love this crew! We did this Front Porch session the weekend before Maryland and DC’s stay-home orders went into place, and it was just so fun. Despite the feeling that the world was about to come crashing down around us, with schools closed and life events getting cancelled right and left, we just let all that go and enjoyed ourselves. The kids played, ran, and tumbled. We grown-ups talked and compared notes about the first weeks of the pandemic (remember the days of “bear hunts” in our neighborhoods??) and how we’d survived. Everything had been spinning out of control, and I felt ‘normal’ snapping away with my camera as the kids laughed.

Thank goodness for golden hour, smiling children, dear friends, and photographs to remind us of the good in life right now.
